Mitchell L. Bilbe, FSA
Mr. Bilbe became a consulting actuary in 1995 and has been with Rudd and Wisdom since 2000. He became a Principal of the firm in 2004.
Professional Designations:
Mr. Bilbe became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 2001, and he is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary certified to perform actuarial services under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
Expertise:
Mr. Bilbe’s primary area of expertise is in the design, funding, administration and regulatory compliance of qualified and nonqualified defined benefit retirement plans. He also has extensive experience with the actuarial valuation of postretirement medical benefit plans for purposes of GASB Nos. 74 and 75 accounting compliance. His clients include large hospital organizations, insurance companies, utility companies, not-for-profit and for-profit private employers and governmental entities.
Education:
Mr. Bilbe was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in Mathematics. He is also a graduate of Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
